CAHME is pleased to announce two award opportunities for CAHME-accredited programs.
The CAHME/Canon Solutions America Award for Sustainability in Healthcare Management Education serves to recognize programs that incorporate the ideals of sustainability and social responsibility in healthcare management education and practice. The application is available on the CAHME web site. Programs will be asked to demonstrate how they use cultural competency, community involvement, environmental focus, and sustainability in curriculum, student experiential opportunities (such as internships and fellowships), and alumni networking and engagement. The winning program will receive a $5,000 award to support research of sustainability in healthcare. This brief video highlights the CAHME/Canon Solutions America Award.
The CAHME/Wharton Research Data Services Best Paper for Empirical Research Award will recognize excellence in papers that advance the quality of healthcare management processes through the use of quantitative data. Any CAHME-accredited program or faculty member of a CAHME-accredited program can apply. Applicants do not need to be clients of Wharton Research Data Services (WRDS), nor do submitted papers need to have used data provided by WRDS. Applications will be judged by a panel of experts from CAHME and WRDS. The winning program or faculty member will receive an award of $1,500.
Winners of both awards and the CAHME Scholarships will be announced at the annual CAHME Luncheon held during the ACHE Congress in March of 2020, and will be featured in Modern Healthcare magazine. You can find details and application forms on our web site. The deadline for applications is November 21, 2019.
We are grateful to our partners at Canon Solutions America and Wharton Research Data Services for their support of CAHME and our mission to advance the quality of healthcare management education.
